This week’s episode of Be The Drop is recorded LIVE! from We Are Podcast 2017 in Brisbane! The conference includes awesome speakers such as John Lee Dumas and Kate Erickson of Entrepreneurs on Fire, the podcast which ignited my own journey into podcasting, so my excitement levels are high.
In between attending sessions with the conference’s smorgasbord of incredible speakers, I managed to interview four business and podcast influencers, and I’m thrilled to be able to share these insights with you.
In today’s episode of Be The Drop, I chat to Sean D’Souza host of The 3 month vacation, Nicole Baldinu from $100 MBA, Jordan Harbinger from the wildly popular podcast, The Art of Charm, as well as Kate Erickson from Entrepreneurs on Fire. We discuss why podcasts attract such engaged communities, and I share my key learnings from the conference…
“Nobody else can give you what you want. You have to do it yourself.”
Listen to this episode to hear more top business tips from Kate Erickson and three other influential attendees of We Are Podcast 2017 (share this on Facebook!):
Listen for my top We Are Podcast take-aways:
- Importance of processes, systems and scheduling
- The high value of your email list
- Producing content or running a business is a marathon, not a sprint
“In business, you have to do what doesn’t scale. Have 1-on-1 conversations & learn.”
Being at We Are Podcast 2017 was incredible. A huge thank you to my influential guests for their valuable business insights.
I also met a fantastic group of people, both speakers and other conference attendees. I’m excited to connect with these people online to stay in touch, share knowledge and information, and see what opportunities there might be for collaboration in the future.

I can’t wait for the next installment of Be The Drop, to bring you more insights into the power of business storytelling. Everything we discussed in this episode makes sense to me. But does it makes sense to you? I’d love to hear your comments!
