I’m very excited this week to share insights from Gabrielle Dolan, a global thought leader on authentic leadership and business storytelling. Through sharing her own stories, Gabrielle guides us through the power of stories for work; including tips from her book on this topic which is an essential guide to business storytelling.
Gabrielle Dolan is a speaker, author and storyteller. With a senior management background in finance, Gabrielle realised the power of stories for work 15 years ago. After going to Harvard in 2015, she has since written no less than 6 books and is the founder of Jargon Free Fridays, which aims to change the way we speak in corporate settings to become more authentic and generate real human connection.
In episode 216 of Be The Drop, Gabrielle discusses the power of stories for work and reflects on the impact they can have far into the future. She also shares 4 types of business stories to help you categorise and fine-tune your own engaging anecdotes.
“Business storytelling is not as easy as it looks. There’s a real skill to it in business to get your message across.”
